Therein lies the issue. That is a classmate's home. If he/she wants white people only, should we have a problem with that? Problem I have with that one is it is much like abortion and a woman. My house, my rules. While I don't agree with his/her actions, I have to support it from the standpoint that it is a private gathering. Nobody suggested that the classmate should be investigated or charged or any other official sanction. The point was that it is a sad example of racism which is being practiced by people in our country. These are probably just regular folks to those who are their neighbors or acquaintances, but underneath they are racists, and it is an unfortunate thing.
Just because it is in a private home does not mean you need to support it. Support the persons right to do what they will, invite who they will, but I for one, will not support their decision to send out an invite to a class reunion indicating that whites only are to be admitted.
