You and I know two completely different New Yorks....
I have found NY to be a very accepting of cultural and ethnic differences.
Of course I speak mainly of the city, not the 'burbs or upstate...
and if you were captaining a charter boat from Long Island.... I could imagine that you know a completely different NY than the one I am familiar with.
