Does the noise change pitch with speed?

I had a monotone howl (sounded like the death throes of a sick cow) coming from a slightly frozen caliper on the right rear. It would only do it after an hour or so of driving. The pads were worn and had the pistons over-extended. Did a brake job, flushed the fluid and it stopped.
