we certainly can, Im not advocating not holding them responsible, however, im advocating thinking things through before we act.
Part of that is understanding how this happened, not just yelling we need to bomb the crap out of them and send in the troops.
This happened because of idiotic hate mongering everywhere, and flying off the handle doesn't solve the situation, but what it DOES do, its reinforce the agressor power image of the US that is held in large parts of the world.
My general point in a misunderstanding becomes an act of violence, becomes a escalation, becomes a further escalation, ect ect. Pretty soon we have armies on the ground and bombs in the air. Look at the assassination of Franz Ferdinand for an example.
The guilty parties need to be hunted down by Libyan authorities and punished accordingly for the murder of our Ambassador, any help from us that they are getting should stop until this is done.
