You might need the snorkel with the 350SD turbo. The compressor inlet might be shorter or set further aft since it doesn't have ARV. It's a 55 trim unit vs the 87 TD's 50 trim so it might take a little longer to spool. If the TD's turbo's been bad for a while, you probably won't notice the difference.
