Good point. Put it this way: Everything related to the fuel system was bone dry, not a hint of a leak. The dispersal of oily film around the v/c vent was the only thing I saw out of the ordinary. There was no smell of diesel outside the car when I got home.

When I first got the scent I assumed it would be a return line, as they're due to be changed. But they're dry.
