Any DIY vid's on W124 headlight switch replacement

Had a failure with my Hella, light control box beside the fuse box a few months ago and at the time my friend dissected it and got out the solder iron and thought he could give it a temp fix to get me home. It worked for about 10 minutes then ended up melting a couple wires in one of the rear taillights and did something to my headlight switch, after replacing the melted wire and the Hella control box, when I turn on my headlights, my dash lights and license plate lights dont come on unless I push in on the switch or turn on the fog lights. Now its time too replace the headlight switch and I will be doing the work this time around, but I remember my buddy replacing the switch in my 190E a couple years ago and it seemed like a big job, are the 124's just as difficult?
