The speedo on the CE stopped working, so I replaced the cable.

Still no luck. I think the speedometer cable drive is not engaging into the speedometer.

If any of you have done this repair before...have you hooked up the cluster first and then attached the new cable to the transmission.

It seems like the square cable drive is not quite long enough to engage the speedometer

I am wondering if it can be pushed up from the transmission side.

The cable is otherwise engaged. I can see it spin when I drive the car.
