Bought the lock tool....... There are two styles of lock tools, one inserts at the bottom of the transmission, the other takes the place of the starter motor. I have the one that takes the place of the starter motor. I already had a generic puller that worked for the balancer--it came off very easily. I did not use the seal installation tool. Instead I used a block of wood and small hammer to tap the seal into place. You are welcome to borrow my lock tool. (Send me a deposit for the cost of a new one, plus round trip shipping. When I get the tool back I'll return the deposit.)
One tip when you do this job, make sure the crank is positioned as described in the service manual. There is a woodruff key between the balancer and the crank. Positioning as described insures the key is at 12 oclock. If it isn't, the key will fall to the bottom of the chain case........
