If you haven't worked it out yet. You will need to change the rear connecting yoke that connects to the drive shaft flex disk. There's a 30mm hollow bolt that connects the yoke to the transmission shaft.

If you remove the driveshaft. Make sure your you mark the position of both halves of the drive shaft spline. The drive shafts are balanced and must be reassembled on the spline in the exact same position.

Ok, I have given up on the 93 tranny. I have found a 86 190E 2.3 tranny for sale that I think will fit. If anybody knows different please let me know. Thanks for all the help.
