190e 2.3 should have a 722.4 tranny and should fit.

Tomorrow I'm going to change out a 722.4 tranny in a 260e to a 722.3 from a '90 model 300e.

I'll take some images as I do this.

If this proves to complicated I have a 230e 722.4 tranny.

722.3 from a 300e has different NSS connector, different rear yoke that connects to the drive shaft, different cooler lines (Bell housing shape), different dipstick tube and stick (722.3 pan is different). Connecting rod from shift lever to transmssion is different shape.

722.4 tranny is much lighter than 722.3. I can pickup a 722.4 tranny and carry it quite easily - 722.3 takes much more effort. ( I dropped a 722.4 on my foot and broke the big toe earlier on this year - I would have done more damage with a 722.3)
