Recently bought the car (1982 300TD turbo, 212Kmiles, just replaced injectors) and learning much. When I cold start, Must keep acceler. pedal pressed about 1/3 down, or engine will die. After about 20 minutes of driving, Idle holds without engine killing. My brother used to own a '85 and claims he didn't have to do anything with the accelerator during cold start.
