These were pretty nasty and I was in a hurry to get done & thought I'd be done in a couple of hours at most. Local parts store didn't have rebuild kits & I didn't want to wait.
I think that the caliper that wouldn't fit over the rotor was for the rear. That makes 2 out of 4 that were boxed wrong. The last one was the correct side and releases properly.
I haven't driven far but brakes seem to be working. I'm glad because I was getting tired of messing with the brakes. Also having the replaced caliper fix the problem means that the diagnoses was correct.
The store manager apparently wanted get rid of me & said "how about we just give your money back?" I said that would be fine as long as he included the $50 core charge since I started the process with a caliper and would need something to turn in. He didn't take me up on that deal.
