Follow up:

I installed front and rear speakers with no issues. They sound fine, but I'm using the stock head unit, so they aren't very loud.

Bought a Tunelink Auto bluetooth to FM converter so I could use my phone as a media player, and it works great. For anyone looking to bring their car into the 21st century while retaining the stock look, I highly recommend it.
