Let me tell you, that brake pedal feels awesome. It might not be as effective as the 190's brakes in terms of stopping power but it feels significantly better. I much prefer that feeling over these Akebono's. Next time around I'll stick with Textar. But I think my first thing is to firm up the brake pedal. It feels like there is air in the system still.
I've been thinking of doing the same with my 300D (your 300D is a w123 or w124?), but the pads are still pretty thick as I described, and I don't drive it that much, so I'll keep it this way for now.
