It takes some getting used to, but is fast and has some nice features. Try the add memory part too. Your PC can probably address ~3.5 GB (Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, Memory, Laptop Memory, 4GB). I have 3GB in one laptop and 4 GB in my other(you should get 4GB). I commonly have about 70 tabs open before I start to have a noticeable slowdown (HDD/memory swapping).

I also find that it helps to kill/restart my browser every week or so, I suspect due to memory leaks in flash.
