Are you an IT person (aka problem-solver) or technology salesman? To be good, you should be a little bit of both. Cost of browser change: $0. OK, maybe $10-20 of time. Cost of new computer: $400-500 at least.
If a browser is using 700M for mundane tasks, there's something wrong. Yep. I still use Firefox for a lot of tasks. It never consumes more than about 300M out of 2GB installed on a netbook that I use.
