In front of and above the large rubber grommets the radiator drops into there are smaller rubber grommets, those are what the condenser drops into.

The condenser has rubber sleeves on the tabs on the top of it. Those clip to the core support with the same type of clips that hold the radiator in.

Are you trying to reinstall your original condenser or a new one?

On a 190D both fittings on the condenser are on the drivers side. On most gassers the condenser has one fitting on the drivers side and one on the passenger side. Do you have the wrong condenser?

The one in you're picture is what your car should look like.
