There should be some matte plastic material that would be compatible with ink jet printers that would provide a more substantial substrate for mounting on the gauge face. I think that's what the guys that do the white face gauge retrofit kits use... just don't know the source.
When I replaced the tach module in my 107 with one from a 123 I trimmed the tabs and epoxied the entire tach face on top of the existing one.
