The minimum wage is already so low that it's more of a symbolic reminder that there used to be a minimum wage. I question the wisdom of those who want to abolish it, as opposed to raise it.

Think about what it means if you have people in your community whose income is so low that they can't meet reasonable living expenses. It means that their income will have to be subsidized by: relatives, gov't social services, charities, illegal activities, or they will starve. Most people are not moral enough to starve.
