A friend of mine owns a ranch in Texas. We have 'hunted' hogs several times.

It is easy to do. You just pick up a large bore weapon, or a .223 if you have one, and drive out into the woods. Presto! They seem to be everywhere.

Then you just start firing away. Not too sporting. It is more like pest control.

We once shot one that was blocking his gate. We had to hook a chain up to it in order to drag it away.

We tried a 9mm on them, but there was not much effect.

By the way.... I have been through Aspermont many times due to some property further to the west I have an interest in. I can understand the lure of hunting hogs since there is really nothing else to do.
