I have about 8.50 in mine. I had to buy the brass but had the spring and valve. Cost is not the primary reason I built it myself.
The spring I used came from a spare spring from my reloader. I think the screw (used as a valve) came from a bicycle water bottle mount. I switched the back side spacer to a bike spoke nipple. Reducing the preload on the spring. I have it torqued all down, tightening the spring and didn't want to raise the relief pressure.
I knew I was going to get comments like "You can buy one " But I wouldn't be able have in operation in a few hours. Would lose the thrill of making myself. Also I would need to use paypal....Not for me if I can help it.
Old Sinner, The only kind of ball valves that I am familiar with have a handle and are quarter turn.
All this work on the Benz turbo has made me curious about the settings on my vw. I have never check them.
