W124 electric aux cooling fan operate without AC on?
On a 93 W124, would the electric fans operate if the AC was switched off? Mine operate when AC is on, and have the designed two stages of operation. The drawing from the shop manual shows relay K10 operated by the high head pressure AC switch, and K9 is operated by the climate control.
So if I am slowly driving in hot traffic with the convertible top down, annoying people with my selection of music, will I just have the viscous drive mechanical fan; or should I turn on the AC?
