I have a wagon that's never had a tank vent valve attached to the tank until I figured out what was supposed to go there...
the tank is COVERED in crud.
I used quad coverage Diesel Power KLEEN in the tank for a week, and the filters cleaned themselves out.
what I understand about Diesel "ALGAE" or "critters" is that it's just basically sediment from fuel that's begun breaking down. chemical "recombiners" will repair a dirty critter infested tank.
it worked for me.
