TX Bill is right. The guy at the dealership I was sent to did not know WTF I was talking about (it's the same "I worked for MB in Germany" guy I wrote about before-completely clueless). He called his manager who heard something or other during MB training, so he in turn called a manager of this or that who knew what I wanted, but admitted I was the first one to ask for it in the last 5 years. he never bothered to get outside and even LOOK at the car. He just certified the applications. I guess the parts guy knows me on sight by now and told the manager I was OK.
Anyway, the real hassle was to get somebody at 1-800-get-merc to actually listen and send me the apps. It took 3 phone calls with a total of about 1 hour on hold. Luckily, it's 1-800 number and I was at work, so I didn't lose any time...
