Mann oil filters and diesel purge come to mind.

As far as the fuel door it sounds as though you have a vacuum leak or broken actuator. You can open the fuel door by removing the right hand trunk panel and opening the door by compressing the spring. While you are in their check the servo and vacuum line. If all the other vacuum circuits work it is probably the servo.

The idle knob cable may be adjusted to tight and is binding.

The haynes manual will cover many of the basic repairs and is worth the $.
