Who is this member 240D in Avondale or Goodyear AZ?
Is it a member on this forum who owns a 123 240D in Avondale or Goodyear AZ? Incredible thing happened on the way in to work this morning. I'm driving in at about 06:45, it's still dark but the unmistakable shape of a 123 flashes past me (I'm stopped at an intersection). I catch up with it and it's a 240D. The incredible thing about it is NO SMOKE! I mean not a hint. Even when he was pulling away from the lights. I weaved inandout of traffic a bit to get directly behind him and managed to do so at the last light before we climbed up an on ramp to the elevated freeway. I had my lights shining directly on the back of his car as he pulled off and floored it up the on ramp to the freeway. NO SMOKE! No a hint and that's with my headlights lighting up his rear end. I remember being afraid of driving my 240D at night because it was almost impossible to see thru the smokescreen I'd leave behind me. This car was incredible. The engine has to be perfect. I couldn't believe it but the car is out there and in operation. Whoever the owner is he is a very fortunate individual. I drove behind it on the freeway a bit and looked very carefully for some sign of smoke but nothing, nada, zip! Awesome car.
