I agree which is why I say that a gun anywhere else but on the person is useless. I'm well aware that I cannot be compared to the populace as a whole and I'm well aware that teachers, at least in elementary school are predominantly female but not all are and some are ex military. I suspect that the percentage I mentioned earlier might in fact be found who might be able to carry guns. In the district where I work I think about a sixth of the staff are men and a handful of them ex military. Also some of the women are married to spouses who hunt and they have been around guns much of there lives. I do know of one 20 something teacher who likes her guns very much.

As I said this might be different across the country as other states are not as liberal with gun culture as AZ is. But I think the real problem would likely be the opposition of the majority parents and staff who would reject the idea.
