McDs does seem to have hit upon an effective means of generating buzz around it by making it scarce.

I first heard about it on the Daily Show a couple years ago where Jon Stewart was waxing rhapsodic about it. I had one, not bad, but I wasn't immediately hooked. A few weeks later I bought one for an old fellow I picked up hitchhiking from San Jose to LA. He liked his a lot. I later had one more, also tasty enough but that was my last one. I was a bit surprised at the tripe part, as when I had that once in a taco, reminded me of liver.

On rare occasions, I'll eat the McD's bacon-egg-cheese biscuit when I'm on the road. Jack-in-the-Box has a better one that's available all day - McD's stops serving theirs at around 11 am.
