Yes and no. Compared to a good steak, no. For the money and convenience, yes. Is a Yugo better than a Maybach? Not if you can afford either. OTOH, if your choice is walking or a Yugo, that Yugo looks pretty good. Yes it doesn't taste as good as my favorite rib shop but that is way more expensive and over 80 miles away.
I have had several samples of grass fed beef. I am not against sampling more but for the price paid, I expect a lot more. They have been more expensive than the butcher that I get my meat from. Are they better than what Wal*Mart has for meat? Sure. Is the price and ease of obtaining some as good? No.
The grass fed beef is harder to get around here and costs more than my butcher. If I cannot appreciate the difference, why do I want to pay more? When I pay more, I expect more. If grass fed beef was cheaper than Wal*Mart or even similarly priced, I would consider it a bargain and be buying it. That it costs more than Wal*Mart and even more than my butcher, I demand more. It doesn't deliver so I am dissing it.
Wal*Mart has beef that is cheaper than the butcher BUT sometimes it is OK and other times it literally stinks when cooking it. Too dicey for me so I don't buy their stuff.
