Well, I pulled my head, and it has three separate cracks...not really shocked about that. I pulled the one in the junkyard, and it is also cracked between the intake and exhaust valve on cylinder 6. It looked like it had overheated since the radiator on that car was clearly messed up.

So...at this point, I need to locate another newer head. From what I have read on this forum, if I get a newer style head I should be able to make my old style injectors work at least (which would save quite a bit of money). I am a little nervous about pulling prechambers, etc because I have no experience with it...but I guess there is only one way to learn!

I am having trouble finding a used head...does anyone know of any junkyards in the VA/NC/MD area that might have a head? I am willing to drive a bit if need be...it would be alot cheaper than dropping a couple grand on a new head (not really an option right now).
