Update...having trouble locating a newer casting, and have found a couple "rip-off" deals on #14 heads. I may have to just bite the bullet and save up for a new one from Mercedes. In the meantime I picked up an 83 300SD with the OM617 to hold me over until I either find a good deal on a used head or buy a new one for the 87. Thanks for all the help/advice on here! If anyone decides to sell or locates an updated head that seems reasonable, please let me know!
