I accept he existed, however, I do not think that anyone who has been dead for several thousand years is my savior.
If I was to worship anything of historical value from long ago that may have direct impact on me today, it would be the Magna Carta, the foundation of the freedom of the individual over the power of an absolute ruler.
Jesus certainly existed, but to accept he was the son of god, you would have to believe there is a god to be son of in the first place. There are no simple questions when it comes to someones personal belief, and faith takes many forms.
For instance, I believe we are a form of life that evolved over millennia into our current form. Traits such as advanced thought, upright stance, tool use are all survival traits developed over thousands of years.
If I asked you if you considered a creature from several million years ago to be savior, would you consider it a simper question?
