Christ, at the center of things and claiming majority status because, well, you know, more than 50% of US citizens point towards The Dude - implies that you're accepting every certifiable nut job who claims to be a Christian into your tent (Westboro BC, anybody?). Separate the branches/cults/wingnuts/NOT ENOUGH LIKE ME types from your particular definition of mainstream, and I'd argue that your majority status goes in the crapper just as quickly as any claim that all Muslims are evil because (gasp!!!) Al Qaeda.
