Today I was able to jump the circuits on the fuel pump relay, and I was able to hear the pump turn on and the fuel bringing pumped. I also attempted to start the car and it did stumble and begin to start. I didn't want to mess anything up, so I turned the ignition off.
I went to the local bone yard to find a used relay, but wasn't successful. I did get the entire box under the car that holds two fuel pumps, and etc. I got those to use as future back up parts.
Thanks to everyone for helping me get this far. I will buy the part on line in the next few days. The best price i found was Rock Auto for $42.
One more question, will the transmission out of a 1991 420 SEL fit in my 1990 560 SEL? The bone yard had one and the car had been t-boned on the passenger side. I even found the receipt where the transmission was serviced a year ago by the infinity dealer.
