For tri-fuel conversion, it should convert from a gas to gasoline with the flip of a couple valves. I used to keep my old generator filled with stabilized gasoline to start it if the battery went flat. (you couldn't pull start it on gas because the venturi wouldn't pull enough air to mix properly) I would start it on gasoline then shut off the gasoline line to the carb until it started sputtering at which time, I'd slowly open the gas line valve little by little to stabilize the engine until I was eventually all the way over to gas.
