I sort of "know" that seller... he's a decent chap but sort of a wild man/ wheeler- dealer. He's way optimistic on that price for that car in that condition. He totally misrepresented my first purchase from him, but it wound up he was only repeating what someone told him about it (so he said), and he DID make it right, paid for return shipping, and gave me some other needed parts for my trouble. I've since bought some other W109 bits from him on private deals and he treated me well. He's a real W109 fanatic.

It's a good parts car but still a total. I'd like to have that M189 and the trans for my '68 230S, but not at the price of the car, and not shipped from FLA to OR.
