My first post in this forum.
I changed the fuel filter and pre-filter on my 84 300SD this weekend. Loosened the large hex nut, spun off the filter, replaced with new, hand-pumped to remove air, then tightened the hex nut. Pretty easy DIY though it is my first time.

Later I noticed fuel leaking from the hex nut area. I have retightened and I think stopped leak, but have these questions:

How tight should I turn the hex nut?
Is there any washer (metal or rubber) to replace?
