I hate those bushy tailed rats. I've lucked out as far as vehicular damage but they chewed holes in all of the tops of our town-supplied (and required) "pest resistant" rolling garbage cans. Needless to say the fockers make quite a mess pulling stuff out of and inside the cans. Then, in the warm months, their friends the flies come along and leave their lovely offspring.

The spot for the cans is close enough to the house that I can sit in the den with the window open and off them with a pellet gun.
