Cracked lid? I have an aluminum lid from an 82 240D. Had to replace the entire canister as it sheared off at the mounting points. IIRC, the black/steel units from 300D or maybe even early 240D did not work due to different manifold mounting points...

Anyways, I have an alloy lid, crack free. PM for part number, etc.
