This reminds me of a toned down version of 'The Story of O'.

And on another level..... About 30 years ago a lady friend of mine got a job in a hardware store. She was sort of a handyman type, enjoyed home improvement, and knew a lot about all types of hardware and building supplies. She knew more about a lot of the stuff in the store than a lot of the old men that usually worked in those types of jobs.

She told me that one thing puzzled her and that was a type of soft cotton rope the place sold. It was too weak to use for rope and to big to use for tying packages, but women sure bought a lot of it.

One day she asked a lady what she intended to do with all that rope and when the lady told her she was sort of taken aback.

So..... This sort of thing has been around for a long time.
