Car pops out of D into N under heavy torque - B2 piston?
Hi all,
A friend of mine has a 85 W123 300TD. Over dinner he was telling me how his car would pop from drive back to neutral in high torque conditions (like accelerating into a rotary for example).
I have not gone down this route before. Can you help me verify for him that its a B2 piston issue, or maybe something even simpler?
I know the fluid and filter need to be checked and changed first. But after that, what could cause those symptoms?
Thanks,
dd
