I read the NYT story yesterday and the part of the article that got my attention was about an elementary school teacher that saw a bright flash of light through the window, she immediately had the children dive under their desks. She had no idea what was happening, but the cold war "duck and cover" drill saved the kids from the flying glass when the windows exploded. The teacher was injured due to the glass, but not a single child was cut.
