Probably not a problem. The dye used fades with time. MB increased the amount of dye at one point. I noticed mine had turned brown after about 5K miles. I'd be more inclined to check the bottom of the pan for any residue. Small grit is okay but large pieces of graphite or metal (aluminum or brass) are a bad sign.
