If the sequestration amounts to about 2% of the budget, why are they predicting 20% cuts? It can ONLY be because the intention is to make the cuts hurt as many people as possible, and then have a complicit media build up big human interest stories about how the Repubs have hurt the little guy.

It doesn't HAVE to be this way--If the President instructed his staff on a different tact, this could be easily handled.

It is ALL political.
