I'm in the same boat Mike. I'm going to need the same clips for 380SE doors. And you're right, they don't even feature on
But also...
Mike, did you remove the clips yourself? I'd like to know how to get the current clips off the door without damaging anything (other than the clips, that is). I'm cautious because I don't know how they retain below the wood, and I don't want to risk damaging the wood or the plastic (???) they connect to.
I removed the driver's door panel to get at the in-door mechanisms. With the panel off I noticed a lot of black powdery crap running out from behind the wooden part as I moved the panel around. It looks like the droppings from a billion cockroachs (no, it isn't). Seems to me there was a foam type installation material between the wood and the MB-Tex which has broken down into cocky s**t.
Doesn't make much sense to put the panel back without doing everything I can to make it right.
So...
1. How to remove the clips?
3. Where to get replacements?
2. What's a suitable replacement for the insulating foam or whatever it was?
