Thug? You mean like the people who kidnap people from foreign countries, and then hold them in solitary, 10+ years without trial? That kind of thug?

Most people's objections to the man seem to boil down to the fact that: "he didn't like America. He f'ed over American oil interests." Yeah, he was a corrupt buffoon and certifiably insane towards the end, but not sure if that makes him outright evil, especially on the scale of Latin American leaders.
