Actually the specs given for drip timing (24 degrees +or- 1 degree) are for the beginning of delivery. I believe the running point of delivery that the timing light will fire will be as accurate as possible for determining the timing. I have yet to see the instruction sheet that comes with the tool, but if there is any question as to the values used in adjustment, I'm going to give a few pump shops a call and ask them. Heck, I guess I could even give the dealership a shot! They might be using the same method.
