The nightmare is over. Thank God for independent Mercedes shops! Yes there were about 700 bucks worth of parts and the labor was extensive but the 300E is back to factory specs on the climate control once again. My MB mechanic told me he'd like to know who hacked up my wiring harness so bad and drilled sheet rock screws into the top of the CCU circuit board so he could kick their A$$.
