In have a 84 300d with a rotten boot p/n 123 821 06 97 on the door. grease from the hinge dropped on it and rotted the rubber. Is there an easy way to replace or repair this boot?

It looks like I would have to remove the door panel and disconnect the door vacuum lines, window wires and mirror wires. That's a lot of work for a rubber boot.
